The city was amazing, I was there 25 years ago and enjoyed the history and food but wouldn’t say I loved the city. Now I could live there, the people are so nice, everyone speaks English, the city was clean, I felt safe and our trip was exceptional all the way around!

I lived there for 3 years from 1978-1981.

I lived there for 3 years from 1978-1981. City is under a massive upgrade because of the Olympics. For example, the front of the Opera is under a sheet, Champ de Mars has Plexiglas walls everywhere. In the last 45 years, all the restaurants have become homogenized. All the same 10 dishes, 1/2 a chicken with fries, beef steak with fries, Pig snout with fries. I found Maliga in Spain to have better and more varied dishes. Although I speak French and know Paris well I prefer Spain for the cuisine, weather and people. Half of Paris' population is foreign.

Paris is fabulous - they have put a lot of effort into cleaning it up and offering loads of cycle paths and pedestrianised areas; this might just be in preparation for the summer Olympic; however it was a pleasant surprise at how clean and beautiful the city is looking.

    Paris has become very expensive.

Paris has become very expensive. I'd recommend to look for stays in the eastern arrondisements where there is still a lot of charm but perhaps prices are more reasonable. With the metro you can easily get to the top tourist spots from there.

For a "young at heart" rural Canadian couple the Metro and RER were super simple to get everywhere we wanted to go. Was able to walk up to Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Bateaux Mouches 10pm Sienna river cruise and others with minimal Que or wait to get in. Didn't worry about fashion; comfortable is most important. Felt secure at all times but, like any major city always vigilant about potentially unsavory people. ALWAYS greeted locals with a warm Bonjour/Bonsoir (after 6pm) and est que tu parle Anglais(e)? And found everyone to be as very much helpful as they have the ability to be. Bayeux, in the Normandie region captured our 💞 and based out of Cormery for a few days to tour Amboise, DaVincis home, Loire Valley and the Troglodytes (cave dwellers) La Vallee Des Groupillieres was super cool. Closest town Azay-le-Rideau was a must see walk around. Do this trek in a day that the Loches outdoor market operates; it was amazing! Bastielle Market in Paris a must see too. Supported by locals and charmingly un touristy imho. Walking tour of Bayeux led by Mary from the Tourist Center was a best ever guided tour experience. Bisette a newer cafe has amazing breakfast a lunch to go. The chef, Clementine has an amazing list of North American food with a Parisienne flair. The Toot Toot train around Bayeux with Pascal was a nice way to get ones bearings. Bayeux farmers market Saturdays was sooo full of amazing food:) Already planning our next trip!

I really enjoyed my time in Paris.

I really enjoyed my time in Paris. There are so many areas of the city to explore and never enough time! I enjoyed exploring on foot the Marais, the Latin Quarter, the Il de La Cite, Ile St-Louis, and St. Germain- des- Pres. I never even used the metro - just walked! I enjoyed the Musee d'Orsay as I love art. I enjoyed the many cathedrals and churches such as Sainte-Chapelle. The Jardin des Tuileries and the Jardin du Luxembourg were wonderful green spaces & great for people watching. I enjoyed the Le Pantheon and the many varied museums like the Musee Carnavalet and the Maison de Victor Hugo. I had a wonderful lemon meringue pie at the tearoom Le Loir dans la Theiere and I loved the boulangerie at St.-Michel. I definitely will have to come back as there are so many neighbourhoods and sites that I didn't get to. If you love art, architecture, history, and food, you'll love Paris.

Beautiful boutique hotel located next to the St Severin Catholic Church in a leafy street within the Latin Quarter. The rooms were wonderful - the nicest rooms we’ve ever had in Paris. Beautiful big sunny rooms with windows that open or air conditioning, whichever you prefer. Super comfortable beds and everything spotlessly clean. Nice breakfast, includes bacon and eggs in addition to what you’d normally expect for breakfast in France. 5 minutes walk to the left bank of the Seine, 10 minutes to Notre Dame and Isle St Louis.

It's a nice hotel for the very reasonable price. The check-in staff were friendly and the beds were comfy. The restaurant area was clean and there was loads of choice for breakfast, which was really tasty. They staff looked after our baggage for us until we left France a few hours after check-in, which was a big help as we didn't want to leave valuables in the cars. The Metro was only a ten minute walk which is really handy for getting to the centre of Paris and this was a pleasant walk.

The location was good. It's close to two train stations - one is great to travel from the airport to Paris and is located around 16min from the hotel, another one is great to travel to different cities in France (located around 7min from the hotel). It's only 30 minutes walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame de Paris, Sacré Cœur, and other beautiful sightseeing places in Paris. The staff at the reception is kind and welcoming. I appreciated the kettle in the room.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It is on a pedestrian street lined with beautiful food shops. There are two metro stations near by. It's close enough to Saint Lazare and Opera area to walk. The rooms are small but the bed was very comfortable. There was no fridge in the room and no tea/coffee making facilities, but this seems to be common in France. I would definitely return if in Paris again.

One of the very cheap hotel and very clean and a very environmental place to stay and enjoy your time in Paris. Coffees in the morning tasting very nice and strong.A hotel with a room service of an expensive hotel.
